The Tallapoosa Wellness Collective of Carrollton partners with educators and guides who are dedicated to the well being and health of both mind and body through the practice of yoga, tai chi, meditation, kids yoga, senior classes, and other inclusive activities. As a Collective, we also provide meeting space to our community partners and space for practitioners who optimize wellness.

Karen Sifton MEd, E-RYT500

Karen has been studying and practicing mind-body arts yoga, tai chi, meditation, and qigong for over 40 years and she has been teaching these arts much of that time. Besides all her study of yoga and Tai chi, Karen also completed instruction in both basic and advanced pranic healing and for 14 years directed the Tallapoosa Center’s nationally recognized yoga teacher training program. She combines her knowledge of the physical body and its background matrix of energy to lead groups and individuals toward wholeness. Her teaching in workshops, group classes, and private sessions is focused on listening to inner guidance and exploring ways of unblocking our energy flow so that we might achieve our fullest potential in both our physical health and our emotional well-being.  She is the co-author, along with husband Roger Hornsby, of the nationally distributed book Energy which is now available as an e-book online.

Pamela Stubbs

Pamela Stubbs has always been intrigued by the body’s ability to move, adapt, and heal.  Active in school as a gymnast and cheerleader, she entered Middle Tennessee State University as a Physical Education major, looking to a future as a gymnastics coach.  Life, such as it is, changes things, and a husband and children interrupted that track, and she eventually ended up attending Georgia Highlands College, and Berry College and finally finishing with a degree in business.

Later in life she decided to return to her earlier intention and pursue her certification as a yoga instructor.  Through her years of practice she had found how yoga not only helped the body, but it also brought a mental fitness that few other disciplines can.  She completed her certification at the Tallapoosa Center for Inner Arts in 2011.

An avid equestrian, she uses her yoga training to create awareness, breathing, balance, and fluidity to enhance her riding skills.  She lives on her Full Circle Farm in Roopville, Georgia with her husband, 5 miniature horses, 1 mule, 1 miniature donkey, 2 dogs, and 4 cats.
